Biography:

“Founded in 2009, EarlyRise set out on a unique journey, mixing the poetic side of music with the edgier side of rock. EarlyRise was founded by Orly Lari & Raz Klinghoffer, who combined their different styles and emerged with their debut album What If. The album explores many levels of experience and emotion, making each song unique, with its own style and point of view. Like different facets of a complex personality, What If gives us a first glimpse of EarlyRise, unfolding before us with each song.”

Our Thoughts on EarlyRise:

“2011 is proving to be the year of surprisingly good debut albums, in my opinion. EarlyRise’s What If is no exception. This band from Israel blends metal, punk, and alternative rock with poppy melodies, orchestral arrangements, and electronic embellishments. The end result is a guitar-driven, melodic music that’s cohesive, edgy, and extremely likeable. Orly Lari has a sweet voice by nature, but she can definitely belt it out when she needs to. But I have a question: How in the blazes can a band with no record label, no music video, and no promotional juggernaut to help them promote their music get over 7,500 likes on Facebook?! Somehow, EarlyRise has managed this feat – and that’s incredible. People obviously like EarlyRise and are spreading the word. And I understand what all the excitement is all about!” - Sara
