The Other Side (Album – 2012, M&O Music)
“Who never wished to reach the mirror, to see the dark side of the moon, to go beyond what is visible, beyond the world we know? Who never questioned theirselves about the afterlife meanders?
All the civilizations from all times raised the question of an eventual next world, and today it goes further than religion and esotericism, as it meets modern medicine investigations. With The Other Side, Wedingoth engaged a reflexion based on scientific researchs, several approachs and contemporary accounts about this mysterious notion, and condensed these ideas in a 23min-length progressive metal/rock song creating a romanticized vision of the afterlife.
Playing with double meaning and multiple interpretations, the band releases a new concept album which can be perceived as another side in Wedingoth’s musical universe, exploring new horizons full of finely-shaded emotions and, being more homogeneous and yet darker,
definitely slices with Candlelight’s compositions.”
