Calling all metal fans … Washington DC based female-fronted metal band, A Sound of Thunder, is having a CD release bacchanal on April 2nd to inaugurate their debut album, Metal Renaissance. The band are relative newcomers on the scene (having been together a little more than a year), but they have already made their mark opening for headliners such as Primal Fear and Doro.
A Sound of Thunder’s music ranges from ’70s blues-based proto-metal à la Black Sabbath and early Judas Priest to triumphant modern power metal à la Hammerfall and Primal Fear, with vocals that shift from clean to some growling to some class metal wails. There’s something for fans of a broad range of metal sub-genres, so don’t miss it!
When: Saturday, April 2, 2011, 8:00pm – midnight
Where: Ram’s Head Live, 20 Market Place, Baltimore, MD
A Sound of Thunder is:
- Nina Osegueda – Vocals
- Josh Schwartz – Guitar
- Chris Haren – Drums
- Jesse Keen – Bass
You can check out A Sound of Thunder on Facebook, ReverbNation, and their official website.
